The greatest cure to boredom is to get a pet.
The kind you have to train.
Not like my snake, hedgehog, rabbits, hamsters, or chinchilla.
More like my dogs and the ferret.
Yes we have 11 pets. Not to mention the duck that hangs out around our house although I haven't seen him for months.............................
Dogs must be trained and I will admit my pups aren't perfect yet. But between the two of them there is not much of the basics left. I just can't get them to roll over!
However the ferret, which is a rescue, has been impossible to litter box train. Granted she has been here for two days but within a week I will be banging my head on the desk saying, " I hate that stupid ferret!" And I will love her anyways.
So go adopt a pet from your local shelter, for you, your kids, or the neighbor girl down the street whose parents will hate you afterwards and remember to feed them all!
